With pension pots shrinking, and baby boomers living longer, many “over 50’s” are starting their own home based enterprises, and technology is certainly stimulating home business ownership. We now have catch phrases like mumpreneuers and dadpreneuers.

Well, the seniorpreneur has also arrived. More people 50 years and above are seeking self-employment and developing themselves as entrepreneurs running their own home based business. Thanks to technology, we now have the choice of being our own boss working from the comfort of our home and saying goodbye to the daily stress of commuting daily to and from work. More time, more freedom, no boss, no stress! More people just want more out of life today.

Undoubtedly, running an online business from home in the 21st century requires an understanding of how to use technology to some degree, and I feel it is a myth to believe that technology is easy for the young and a struggle for the not so young. Age has got absolutely nothing to do with it (unless you are so set in your ways that you are not coachable), because if you have the desire to learn anything new and make the time and effort to LEARN, anyone can become familiar with, and master most basic business tools. It’s a “can do” attitude that reaps success!

I know one thing for certain for myself: If I am not expanding my mind and experiencing personal growth on this journey called Life, then I am not moving forward … and “standing still” (stagnating) results in disrepair and decay. No thanks! We can experience an exceptionally great life beyond the ages of 50, 60 … who’s counting? Seriously, WE decide how our life is to be at any age!
